| 2009 Slaughtering Calendar | ||
| Greetings, We intend to be opening our processing plant by the second week of May. As usual we will be processing on Saturdays by appointment. On a rare occasion we may schedule a small slaughter on a Sunday afternoon but this is RARE. We intend to be open each Saturday in June. During the July & August hot weather there is decreased demand for custom processing therefore we will be open for custom processing on July 11th & 18th and August 1st &15th. Long range plans into September tentatively are Saturday 12th & 26 dependant on demand. October we start processing the August hatched broilers on the 3rd and 10th. November dates will include Saturday 7th then Starting on Sunday the 22nd will kick off the Thanksgiving week slaughter that will include the Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday before "Turkey Day". Our last scheduled Slaughter of the year will be November 24th. Our dates are calculated according to the hatch dates, normal grow rates and proper animal husbandry of birds we offer. We will make every attempt to accommodate birds ordered outside of our hatch dates or birds held into mid summers hot humid temperatures. Please remember to take feed away from your birds the night before processing; only free choice clean fresh water should be given. This will help reduce the potential of contamination.
